Las Americas takes part in the National Day of Action to Stop Wage Theft Rally in downtown El Paso. Along with other organization, LA delivered a letter to El Paso District Attorney Jaime Esparza asking him to enforce theft of services law.

Ruben Duarte, whom LA protested for last summer was released on parole in November 2009 after his case was remanded.

Las Americas is currently assisting workers who worked for several adult day care agencies and where paid with hot checks.
