Misión

Nuestra misión es a promover la educación y los derechos civiles entre mujeres inmigrantes para que se independices y así prevenir la domestica.

 Visión

 Nuestra visión es a vivir unidos en una sociedad sin violencia donde haya igualdad, respeto y dignidad.

Meetings: Together we have meetings every two weeks for group members, giving us opportunities to educate, exchange ideas and actions that will change our communities and also give us support.

Opportunities for growth: Educational presentations that teach us about our rights as well as the services available to victims of domestic violence.

Studies: Themes that we are studying are: the help that the police can offer us, where to find shelters, Women's Counseling Centers in El Paso, the law concerning domestic violence, HIV/AIDS and modes of protection, defense of rights in terms of Immigration, civil rights for women and children, and much more.

The activities and education that we benefit from in the group Poder de la Mujer does not stay only with us, but is shared with the whole community. Because of our efforts, we have involved many members of the community in the work that our group does so that the entire community can benefit. We are leaders, educators and examples for our community.
